Who Is The Human That You Want to Be?

How Stillness Unlocks Who You’re Meant to Be

There are seasons where the world doesn’t need more from you.
It needs you to stop.
Not to quit.
Not to collapse.
But to descend.
To sit in stillness.
To breathe.
To listen.
To
remember.

This was one of those seasons for me.
Not the kind where everything breaks.
The kind where everything wants to
realign, if you’ll let it.

Stillness isn’t empty. It’s everything.

At the start of 2025, I paused.
Not because I was lost.
But because I was ready to meet myself again.

I’ve been holding space for others in the way I was born to.
But behind the scenes, something deeper was whispering.
Not louder -
deeper.

So I stepped back.
Not to disappear, but to return.
To stop performing what I already knew,
and make space for what I didn’t yet.

And when I gave myself permission to pause,
everything shifted.

The pause is not a gap in your power. It’s where your power reclaims you.

In the stillness, I didn’t find emptiness.
I found the parts of me I’d been too busy to feel.
I found anger.
Sadness.
Joy.
Longing.
Clarity.

I met my shadow.
I met my softness.
I met a kind of knowing I had buried under years of doing.

Stillness didn’t weaken me.
It reminded me of my
essence.
The part of me that can’t be proved, earned, or rushed.

Who’s the human that you want to be?

Not:
What do you want to achieve?
Not:
What do you do for a living?
Not:
What’s your next step?

But:
Who are you beneath it all?
Who are you without the performance?
Who are you when no one’s watching
when there’s no outcome, no expectation, no role to play?

This question is the real one.
The one that reveals the gap between your life and your truth.
The one we avoid… because it
changes everything.

But when you allow that question to take root,
when you let it rise
you don’t become less.
You become
you.

This is how to begin.

Start small.
This isn’t about taking a sabbatical or escaping your life.
It’s about coming back to it, differently.

1. Take five minutes. Every day.

Sit. No phone. No doing.
Just ask:
What do I feel right now?

2. Let the truth rise.

Whatever comes up, let it.
It’s information.
It’s yours.

3. Name your unmet needs.

What are you hungry for? Rest? Touch? Solitude? Inspiration?
Start with honesty.

4. Decide how you want to return.

After the pause, don’t rush.
Choose who you want to be in the re-entry.
From truth, not pressure.

You don’t need to break to pause.

You don’t need to hit a wall.
You don’t need a crisis.
You don’t need permission.

You can choose to stop.
To get still.
To meet yourself again.
And in doing so,
you might just find the very thing you've been searching for:

A life that feels like your own.

With you in the pause,
in the softness,
in the return,
