From Cancer to Forever: Celebrating Life, Health, and Unlimited Potential

"It’s stage 3C Cancer, I’m so sorry”

On the 18th of October 2018, my life took a turn I never expected. “It’s cancer,” the doctor said, and in that moment, everything I knew about life felt like it was slipping away. Cancer? Me? It felt like a cruel joke, I was so bloody healthy! It was like life had decided to throw me into a battle that I wasn’t ready for. Now I’ve been in many - but THIS?! Are you frikkin serious?!

But here’s the thing—I don’t do ‘giving up.’ So, I braced myself for the fight of my life. Quite literally.

For oh so long, cancer was my forever. The treatments, the endless doctor appointments, the fear that followed me around like a shadow—it was suffocating. There were days when it felt like my world had shrunk to the size of my diagnosis. I’d look in the mirror and wonder if I’d ever feel like myself again. There wasn’t a day I woke and it wasn’t what came to mind. But even in those dark moments, I knew one thing: I wasn’t just going to survive; I was going to thrive.

Fast forward to the 4th of July 2024, and I got the news I never thought would come—I was cancer-free.

It took me a full week to wrap my head around it, to believe that after years of living with this weight, I was finally free. I remember waking up one morning and thinking, “Is this real? Am I actually going to live forever?” And in that instant, something shifted. I felt an energy I hadn’t felt in years, a fire inside me that said, “You’re not done yet, Lauren. Not even close.”

But here’s where the story gets even better—I didn’t just beat cancer. I crushed it. And I did it using The Aleafia Way—my ultimate health framework that’s all about living life at full throttle, no matter what’s thrown at you. I knew The Aleafia Way was powerful, but I’ll be honest—I even shocked my consultant as well as myself with the results.

BOOM!!!

So let me jump in here and break that down for you–because this is NOT something that I should be keeping to myself!

  • Alignment to SELF: I made a decision early on that cancer was not going to define me. I dug deep into who I really was—beyond the diagnosis, beyond the fear. I aligned myself with my true purpose, my passions, and my strengths. I became fiercely committed to living authentically, with no apologies, no compromises. Cancer wasn’t going to take away my sense of self, and that alignment kept me grounded, even on the hardest days.

  • Long-term success: I wasn’t just looking to survive; I was in it for the long haul. I focused on what would sustain me for the long term—mentally, physically, and emotionally. Every decision I made was about building a future where I wasn’t just cancer-free, but thriving in every area of my life. I set goals that went beyond just beating the disease—I wanted to create a life that was bursting with energy, purpose, and success.

  • Empowered connections: I surrounded myself with a powerhouse of a support system. Family, friends, mentors—people who lifted me up when I needed it, who reminded me of my strength when I doubted myself. These connections weren’t just about having a shoulder to cry on (although that was part of it); they were about surrounding myself with people who empowered me to keep fighting, who pushed me to be my best self every single day.

  • Activity and Physical Movement: Movement became my medicine. Even when I was exhausted, even when my body was weak, I made sure to stay active. I listened to my body, but I also knew that staying physically active was key to keeping my mind sharp and my spirits high. Whether it was a walk, yoga, or just stretching—movement kept me connected to my body and reminded me that I was still in control.

  • Flow state: There were days when it felt like the world was closing in on me, but I found my flow. I tapped into activities that put me in a state of flow, where time disappeared, and I was fully immersed in the moment. Whether it was work, a hobby, or something creative—finding my flow was a way to escape the fear and find peace in the chaos.

  • Inner Balance: Balancing my mental and emotional health was non-negotiable. I practised mindfulness, meditation, and anything that helped me maintain that inner calm. This wasn’t just about staying sane—it was about staying strong, centred, and ready to face whatever came my way. Inner balance became my secret weapon.

  • Alkaline Diet & Gut Health: I took my nutrition seriously. I knew that what I put into my body would play a massive role in my recovery, so I focused on an alkaline diet that supported my body’s healing process. I nourished my body with plant-based foods that fuelled me from the inside out, and I paid attention to gut health, knowing that a healthy gut is the foundation of a strong immune system. I wasn’t just feeding myself; I was fortifying my body for the fight.

The Aleafia Way wasn’t just a framework—it was my lifeline. It gave me structure when everything felt chaotic, and it empowered me to take control of my health in a way I never had before. I’m living proof that when you commit to your health, when you align yourself with a purpose, and when you surround yourself with the right people, you can overcome anything.

So here I am today, cancer-free, stronger than ever, and more determined to live life on my terms. And I want to share this journey with you—not just the highs, but the lows too, because this isn’t just a victory lap for me; it’s a call to action for you.

I’m launching my new website and blog—a place where I’ll be diving deep into the real stuff. The resilience, the power of health, and the mindset that got me through it all. This is where we come together to share, to learn, and to grow stronger together.

And because I’m all about celebrating life, I’ve got a special offer for you. Use the gift code CANCERFREE on my Peak Performance Playbook, and you’ll get a free upgrade—because this is our moment to celebrate not just surviving, but thriving.

To every woman out there who’s been through the wringer and come out the other side stronger—this is for you. You’re not defined by your struggles; you’re defined by how you rise above them. And let me tell you:
